CJM Courts to be Set up at Angamaly and Kalady

The Home Department of the State government has sanctioned First Class Judicial Magistrate Courts at Angamaly and Kalady, said Jose Thettayil MLA on Thursday. The buildings necessary for the purpose have also been selected, he said.
The Angamaly court will handle the criminal cases from the two police station areas at Angamaly and Nedumbassery. Angamaly, Thurvannoor, Mookkannur, Karukutty, Parakkadavu and Nedumbassery are the panchayats coming under its jurisdiction. The cases from two police stations at Kalady and Aiyyambuzha will be disposed of by the Kalady Judicial Court.  Kalady, Manjapra, Malayattoor, Nileeswaram, Aiyambuzha, Kanjoor and Sreemoolanagaram panchayats are under the two police station limits.
Thettayil said that the main aim of the two courts is the speedy disposal of cases from these areas
