INKEL facility to be opened at Angamaly



The Standard Design Modules (SDM), Angamaly, the industrial infrastructure facility developed by Infrastructure Kerala Limited (INKEL), is all set for inauguration in September. The SDM has a total area of 2,20,000 square feet spread across five floors, and is situated on a 2.5-acre land.
As many as 40 modules having 5,000 sq.ft space are available on long-term lease for 30 years or on monthly rent. The rents start at a rate of `1,550 to `1,725 per sq.ft for a 30-year-lease, and `16 to `19 per sq.ft for a monthly rental.
The booking has commenced and so far about 60,000 sq.ft has been allotted.  “SDM at Angamaly is the first of its kind infrastructure facility with international standards in the state. Full-time power and water supply, ample parking space, lifts with a capacity of 3 tonnes and advanced fire protection facility, are the major benefits of the project.
“These spaces are suitable for the services industry, logistics industry, and other industries that do not emit any pollutants,”  said T Balakrishnan, managing director of INKEL at a press conference in Angamaly on Thursday. Located next to TELK-NTPC campus in Angamaly, the site is located one kilometre away from the Angamaly railway station, six kilometres from the Cochin International Airport and  35 kilometres from the International Container Transshipment Terminal, Vallarpadam.
